Hello Readers!

I made the rule book today. It is not complete, but it is mostly there. I will post it today instead of blogging about how I wrote it. If it seems too complex to read, sorry. There are easier ways to learn to play than suddenly having all these rules to remember. Enjoy!

Lego Battles: The Card Game
Objective
The Objective of the Game is to play Minifigures that will battle your opponent’s Minifigures and eventually reduce your opponent’s Life to 0.
Starting Positions
First the players decide who goes first, usually by playing Rock, Paper, Scissors, and then shuffling their decks of cards
Players start with 30 Life.
Each Player starts the game by drawing 4 cards from the top of their deck.
          This is their “Hand”.
The player who goes first cannot attack the first turn.
Turn Order
To start their turn, the player draws the top card of their deck.
They then play any Minifigure and Idea Cards they want.
Next the can declare any battles they want.
A Player cannot play any cards after they have started attacking.
Summoning
Each player can summon, or move a “Minifigure” card from their hand to the field once per turn.
Each Minifigure has a Rank, which is 1, 2, or 3.
To summon a Minifigure, they player must “Sacrifice”, or move from the field to the discard pile, Minifigures whose total Ranks are at least 1 less than the Minifigure summoned.
So a Rank 1 needs no sacrifices.
          A Rank 2 needs a sacrifice of a Rank 1, a Rank 2, OR a Rank 3 Minifigure.
A Rank 3 needs a sacrifice of two Rank 1 Minifigures, one Rank 2 Minifigure, OR one Rank 3 Minifigure.
Idea Cards
Idea Cards are unlike Minifigure Cards in the fact that they are played, activate an effect, and are sent to the Discard Pile.
For example, the Idea Card “Creativity” states the player can draw 2 cards. Therefore, when the player plays “Creativity”, they draw 2 cards from their deck, and “Creativity” then goes to the Discard Pile.
A player can play any number of Idea Cards per turn. There is no Limit.
Battle
Each Minifigure has 2 Stats.
ATK, or Attack, is the amount of Offensive Power the Minifigure has.
HLT, or Health, is the amount of Life the Minifigure has.
During the “Battle Phase” of a turn, the turn player can select a Minifigure they have on the field, and have it “attack” an opponent’s Minifigure.
To battle, the value of the attacking Minifigure’s ATK is taken out of the defending Minifigure’s HLT.
Each Minifigure can only attack once per turn.
If a Minifigure’s HLT is reduced to 0, it is “destroyed” and then moved to the Discard Zone.
If a Minifigure is destroyed, the player that had it will take damage equal to double the Rank of the Minifigure.
If the opponent controls no Minifigures, you can attack the opponent directly with any Minifigures you have. Then the opponent will lose Life equal to the Minifigure’s ATK.
Minifigure Effects
Most Minifigures have a effect or multiple effects.
Each Deck has a common effect that most of the members possess.
The abilities are…
United Knights – The Lion Knights have this effect and it means that a Lion Knight with this effect will gain 1 extra ATK for each other “Lion Knight” the player has.
Reckless – The word “Reckless” is followed by a number and when the Minifigure attacks, they player can reduce the Minifigures HLT by the number to raise the ATK of the Minifigure by the number for the battle only. Used by Dragon Knights.
Shadow – When a Minifigure with “Shadow” is attacked, you can reduce the HLT of the Minifigure by 5 and take 3 damage yourself to negate the attack. Used by Ninjas.
Ultimate Offering – When a Minifigure with “Ultimate Offering” is sacrificed, the player gains Life equal to double the sacrificed Minifigure’s Rank. Used by Islanders.
